PURPOSE OF POSITION

As a Business Development Professional, you are responsible for the growth and development of the Territory of which you manage in-line with the organisations ECO-SYSTEM. Driven by a committed focus that delivers high-end customer service to our Clientele that has “No Equal”.

WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTED TO ACHIEVE (ACCOUNTABILITIES)

• To maintain a current in-depth understanding of the Territory in which you manage in order to generate, continued growth and a sustainable market share.
• To identify opportunities within set Segments and Target Markets in line with the organisation’s Values and Services provided. In-line with the ECO- SYSTEM.
• Provide updates in the weekly Business Development Meetings, that supports strategic thinking and delivery, analysing Marketing statistic data of your Territory and provide updates of current and future Territory performance.
Clear demonstrated alignment with ‘Return on Investment – Revenue and Relationships.
– Understanding and Communication of our client’s Australian ECO- SYSTEM
– Marketing & Branding Voices to suit different Client types in different markets
– Demonstrated consultative approach in Face to Face (F2F) interactions with Clients
• Review weekly Management of Territories
– Lead Identification Rate

– Planning to achieve target Business Development (BD) Activity Levels
– Business Development (BD) Activity Levels – Face to Face (F2F) & Calls across Business to Consumer (B2C) + Business to Business (B2B) + Joint Venture (JV)

– Action Plans to close gaps
• Lead and manage the recording of intellectual property and take an active approach in recording client and project information in the organisations Reportables System, analyse performance data of the Territory to ensure a continued, sustainable growth
• Responsible for meeting set budgeted KPI revenue targets, through to the management and reporting of projected forecasts to actual sales. (Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly)
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements.
• Demonstrate a proactive commitment to the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of our personnel.
• Build relationships with fellow team members working in line with the organisation’s culture and values.
• Continued and sustainable growth in self-learning through the 70:20:10 approach

Business Development requires an individual to possess and demonstrate the ability in Implementing and Managing State Market Objectives, in line with the organisation’s ECO-SYSTEM and One Way Approach – Focus on Market Segments/Target Markets, Identify key players and decision makers in each Target Market, diligent in the use of Planning Tools and the 4 Step Process to Reporting to sustain long term value in client relations and sustainable growth in market share. Achieving this relies on capabilities in managing multi-disciplinary functions, of effective Market Planning, Proposal Management, Budget and Financial Objectives.

DECISION RIGHTS – AUTHORITY LEVELS

As delegated by the General Manager from time to time. However, discretion is allowed when work practices or conditions are likely to lead to safety, health or environmental management system failures or injury, to ensure risks are effectively managed and their personnel are not placed at risk or a danger.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential: Construction Industry experience, Business Development experience, Understanding of Concrete Technology, Relationship Management, Project Management, Time Management and Planning, Presentation Written and Oral.
Desirable: Knowledge in Concrete Repair, Durability Enhancement and Return to Service Planning in Commercial and Civil Infrastructure.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Travel may be required, including overnight stays, to meet the requirements of your role.
Attendance at Industry functions outside of normal working hours.
