Our client is an industry leader in dry docking solutions and the proud Australian manufacturer of SeaPen. The marine industry is experiencing phenomenal growth and we are looking for a talented sales leader to join our client’s team and drive sales in the territory of New South Wales while offering their customers exceptional customer service.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced territory manager to be responsible for generating leads and exceeding sales goals. The role will be home-based in Sydney or surrounding areas.

Reporting to the national sales manager and with all training provided, your responsibilities will be to:

● Exceed the sales territory budget

● Make every customer encounter count

● Prepare and submit sales quotes

● Build relationships with clients, boat dealers and other marine industry players

● Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry to handover in a timely manner

● Meet and exceed KPI’s

● Action all the leads provided to you and generate your own leads

● Conduct site inspections to ascertain the ‘right’ product for their customers

● Answer clients’ questions about products, prices and availability

● Be available to attend boat shows locally and interstate which includes some weekends

You will bring to the table:

● Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

● An understanding of the sales process and dynamics

● A commitment to excellent customer service

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers

● Confidence using a variety of cloud-based programs

● A love of boating – previous experience in marine industry advantageous

● HubSpot CRM experience advantageous

● Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment

● Boat licence advantageous

Starting on a base salary, commission incentives will be available after the training period.
